VERO BEACH — Exchange Club of Indian River Foundation will host the inaugural Toss Out Child Abuse: Charity Cornhole Tournament on Saturday, March 11, at Walking Tree Brewery, 3209 Dodger Road (across from Piper), Vero Beach.
An hour of practice and onsite registration begins at 11 a.m. Don’t know how to play cornhole? You can learn how during that practice hour.
The double elimination tournament begins at noon. Each team of two will play a minimum of three games. The cost is $40 for a team of two players. To guarantee participation, register in advance online at www.exchangeclubofindianriver.org/cornhole The first place winners receive $500, the second place team gets $300, and the team in third place earns $200, for a total payout of $1,000.
All proceeds from the event benefit local projects for the prevention of child abuse, including a percentage of all beer sold during the tournament also donated by Walking Tree.
